Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACHIEVING EQUAL CURRENT DISTRIBUTION IN A MULTI-PHASE INTERLEAVED DC–DC CONVERTER The present disclosure relates to a system and method for achieving equal current distribution in a multi-phase interleaved DC–DC converter. The method (900) comprises calculating an output voltage error based on a difference between a reference voltage and a measured output voltage, and generating a nominal duty ratio using a proportional integral controller (708). The method (900) further comprises estimating, in real time, an equivalent resistance associated with each converter phase based on input voltage, output voltage, phase current, and the nominal duty ratio. Based on the estimated equivalent resistance, a duty-ratio correction factor is determined for each phase, and individual phase-corrected duty ratios are generated by adjusting the nominal duty ratio. Phase-shifted pulse-width modulation signals are generated and applied to respective converter phases to achieve equal current sharing without employing inner current-control loops, thereby reducing control complexity and improving efficiency, thermal balance, and robustness under varying operating conditions.
