Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED GENERATION OF SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFICATION (SRS) This disclosure relates generally to an automated software requirements specifica-tion (SRS) generation using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). The State-of-the-art methods based on large language models (LLMs) focuses only on functional requirements and offers less control on response generation. The method of the pre-sent disclosure considers both the functional requirements as well as non-functional requirements while generating the SRS. A GenAI agent pre-processes user expecta-tions to generate a crude SRS. The crude SRS is iteratively exchanged between the user and the GenAI agent to refine a response generated at each iteration by the GenAI agent. At each iteration, an input prompt is provided along with user feed-back to refine the response and generate a user validated version of SRS. The method further identifies (a) one or more inconsistent requirements, and (b) one or more missing requirements in the user validated version of SRS to obtain a final version of SRS. [
