Abstract: METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING LANE CHANGE FOR VEHICLE OPERATING IN AUTOMATED CRUISE CONTROL MODE Disclosed herein is method and system for controlling lane change for a vehicle (101) operating in an automated cruise control mode. The method comprises determining a speed probability for each of detected one or more lead vehicles using a sensor input. The method further comprises determining a distance-based probability for the vehicle (101) using a map data input. Further, the method comprises determining a target vehicle probability for the detected one or more lead vehicles based on the speed probability and the distance-based probability. The target vehicle probability indicates a likelihood of at least one lead vehicle to be selected as a target vehicle. Moving ahead, the method comprises selecting the target vehicle from the detected one or more lead vehicles based on the target vehicle probability. Lastly, the method further comprises controlling the lane change for the vehicle (101) based on the selected target vehicle.
