Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for performing data migration and application migration from a source system to a target system using Gen AI. The method provides for accessing source code of an application of the source system, analysing the accessed source code and determining tables of the different blocks of the application, migrating schema and data of the tables of user selected blocks of the application from the source system to the target system, generating a design based on the accessed source code for user selected blocks of the application, building the application for the target system based on the generated design, and migrating application by deploying the built application in the target system, by executing pre-engineered prompt-sets using Gen AI. Advantageously, the present disclosure significantly reduces time, effort and cost of migration.
