Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING ADULTERATION IN MILK USING THERMAL CONDITIONING AND LIPID EXTRACTION The present invention relates to a method and system for detecting adulteration in milk or a milk-derived sample. The method comprises cooling the milk sample to a temperature between 1°C and 13°C, centrifuging and/or agitating the cooled milk sample for a predefined time, and mixing the milk sample with a lipid extraction medium to form a sample-extraction mixture. The sample-extraction mixture is separated to obtain an extract phase containing one or more extracted constituents from the milk sample. The extracted constituents are subsequently detected using one or more chemical, optical, spectroscopic, fluorometric, colorimetric, chromatographic, electrochemical, or analytical techniques to generate a detectable response indicative of adulteration. The system comprises a cooling unit, a centrifuge and/or an agitation unit, an extraction unit, a separation unit, and an analytical detection unit configured to perform the aforesaid operations. The present invention provides a reliable, reproducible, and adaptable framework for milk adulteration detection suitable for laboratory, industrial, and field-testing environments. FIG. 3
