MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202543008053 A) filed by Abb Schweiz AG on January 30, 2025, for Method And System For Detecting Anomalies In Process Data Of Industrial Systems.

Inventors include Chandrika K R; Divyasheel Sharma; Jaivik Dave; and Dinesh Patil.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a system (106) for detecting anomalies in process data of industrial systems. The method comprises receiving real-time process data (102) comprising a plurality of real-time data points associated with a plurality of processes in an industrial system. Further, the method comprises determining a similarity value of the plurality of real-time data points by comparing the plurality of real-time data points with a plurality of historical data points associated with the plurality of processes. Furthermore, the method comprises identifying sequence of events in the real-time process data as potential anomalous events based on the similarity value. The method comprises correlating the sequence of events with each other, using domain knowledge data associated with the plurality of processes. Then, the method comprises detecting one or more events among the sequence of events as anomalous events based on the correlation and the domain knowledge data.
