MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611050979 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on April 21, 2026, for Method And System For Identifying A Bridge Influence Line Using Bayesian Inference.
Inventor includes Mustafa, Samim.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A method (100) and a system (200) for identifying a bridge influence line (BIL) are disclosed. The system (200) comprises: a bridge response measurement unit (220) to measure structural response signals of a bridge structure (210) during passage of vehicles (230); a data acquisition and preprocessing module (240) to pre-process structural response signals to generate a plurality of measured response vectors; a vehicle information module (232) to construct, a vehicle information matrix; a Bayesian influence line estimation engine (250) to formulate a Bayesian estimation problem for an influence line parameter vector based on response vectors and vehicle information matrices; a multi-signal data fusion module (260) to assimilate information from the response vectors to obtain a posterior probability density function of the influence line parameter vector; a correlated noise modelling module (270) to model observation errors; and an uncertainty quantification and confidence evaluation module (280) to derive confidence bounds for BIL.
