Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING GEAR SHIFTING IN AUTOMATED MANUAL TRANSMISSION (AMT) OF VEHICLES A method (300) for managing gear shifting in Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) of vehicles is disclosed. The method (300) includes calculating (304) an acceleration of a vehicle based on a current vehicle velocity and a previous vehicle velocity when a throttle pedal position of the vehicle is less than a predefined threshold value. The method (300) further includes estimating (306) a simulated throttle pedal position based on the calculated acceleration and the throttle pedal position. The method (300) further includes comparing (308) the simulated throttle pedal position with each of a set of predefined throttle pedal positions at a current gear and at a current driving surface gradient of the vehicle. The method (300) further includes determining (310) a gear shift from a current gear to a target gear based on a comparison. [
