Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR STABILIZATION AND POSITION CONTROL OF MULTI GIMBAL ASSEMBLY The present invention provides a method and system for stabilization and position control of multi gimbal assembly which can be applied for the UAV, automobiles, marine and improve the efficiency and performance of the same. For instance, various gimbal having different payload for instance a photodetector or array of photodetector sensitive to various electromagnetic (EM) bands or EM source or array of EM source. The plurality of gimbal may control independently as per user input and can operate simultaneously. A payload is mounted in gimbal assembly, is stabilized against the platform disturbances, and simultaneously execute positional command to steer towards required absolute angle. Gimbal assembly composed of motor, encoder and gyroscope in elevation and azimuth axes. The method of the present invention can change from stabilization on mode to stabilization off mode and vice versa without affecting positional command of Gimbal, in both the cases as well as compensate for the drift in gyroscope reading.
