Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND SYSTEM OF SINGLE APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE (API) BASED REPORT GENERATION Each report is different in terms of filters/attributes/conditions, as necessary to support the intended business case. The differences between parameters across pre-configured reports may require the need of different APIs which can cater to each of these reports uniquely and cater the report generation dynamically based on a user preference. Exposing multiple Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) is a resource intensive process and subjective to criticality and number of such APIs required to support additional business use cases. In the embodiments disclosed herein, a single API based report generation approach is provided, in which an API used for report generation is independent of parameters obtained as user input, causing the API to be the single API for report generation. As this single API is domain and report type agnostic, and is independent of the parameters, it can be used for report generation of any of a plurality of report types. [
