The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for digital wallet auto-provisioning using blockchain and distributed ledger technology. The system comprises a user onboarding interface, identity verification module, blockchain validation module, wallet provisioning engine, cryptographic key generation module, smart contract execution module, distributed ledger storage module, device binding module, payment instrument linkage module, and wallet activation module. A wallet provisioning request is received from a user device, followed by verification of user identity and eligibility. The system queries a distributed ledger to detect existing wallet records and prevent duplicate wallet creation. Upon successful validation, wallet credentials including a wallet identifier and cryptographic keys are generated. A smart contract validates wallet creation rules, and a provisioning event is recorded on the distributed ledger. The wallet is securely bound to the user device and activated for payment or financial use, thereby enabling secure, auditable, automated, and interoperable wallet provisioning.
