Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR ENHANCING THE PERFORMANCE OF AN INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) NETWORK A method (100) for enhancing the performance of an Internet of Things (IoT) network. Further, the method comprising organizing a plurality of sensor nodes into multiple clusters and selecting cluster heads for data aggregation. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of introducing gateway nodes to receive and aggregate data from the cluster heads. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of forwarding the aggregated data from the gateway nodes to a base station while optimizing energy consumption by distributing the transmission load. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of dynamically adjusting the clustering and gateway node selection based on monitored performance metrics to extend the network lifetime. FIG. 1
