Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR ESTIMATING AND MITIGATING MALICIOUS NODES IN VEHICULAR AD HOC NETWORKS (VANET) A method (100) for estimating and mitigating malicious nodes in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET). Further, the method comprising forming vehicle clusters based on proximity and environmental context. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of analyzing communication patterns using a distance-vector approach to identify anomalies indicative of malicious behaviour. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of implementing a position-based routing protocol with greedy and perimeter forwarding mechanisms for efficient vehicle-to-vehicle communication. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of prioritizing data transmission from verified non-malicious nodes to ensure timely packet delivery. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of isolating or excluding identified malicious nodes from the network to enhance communication reliability. FIG. 1
