Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR FABRICATING BIODEGRADABLE NANOFIBER WOUND DRESSING WITH SILVER NANOPARTICLES Disclosed herein a method (100) for fabricating a biodegradable nanofiber wound dressing integrated with silver nanoparticles, the method comprises forming a contact layer via electrospinning biodegradable polymers, wherein the contact layer minimizes adhesion to wounds. The method further comprises, forming a middle layer via electrospinning biodegradable polymers mixed with silver nanoparticles, wherein the middle layer enables sustained release of silver nanoparticles. Further, forming an outer layer via electrospinning biodegradable polymers, wherein the outer layer provides structural integrity and maintains moisture balance. Further, assembling the contact layer, middle layer, and outer layer to form a triple-layer wound dressing and characterizing the wound dressing for antimicrobial activity, biodegradability, and therapeutic release properties.
