Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for enhancing digital connectivity in remote and underserved regions of India by leveraging tethered helium balloons as elevated communication platforms. The method comprises deploying at least one helium filled balloon at a predetermined altitude, mounting a solar powered communication dongle having wireless transceivers and signal amplification units on the balloon, and establishing a backhaul link with an existing internet source. The balloon rebroadcasts amplified internet signals over a localized ground coverage area, thereby extending network reach and improving signal quality without permanent terrestrial infrastructure. The invention enables reliable access to digital education, telemedicine, e-governance, and economic services in geographically isolated regions. The proposed solution is cost-effective, rapidly deployable, sustainable, and scalable, and supports inclusive digital development.
