Abstract: In order to make the manufacture of valves of different sizes easier and more cost-effective, first and second valve housing halves (2a) are cast with the valve seat half (4a) of each of the valve housing halves (2a) having two straight parallel valve seat sections (20) that are connected at respective first ends by a bend valve seat section (21) and each one of the two straight parallel valve seat sections (20) end with a respective second end opposite the re-spective first end at the parting face (5), wherein the length of the two straight parallel valve seat sections (20) are adapted to achieve a predefined flow area of the valve (1), and wherein the valve housing halves (2a) with the adapted lengths of the two straight parallel valve seat sections (20) are connected to each other at their parting faces (5).
