Abstract: [Problem] To easily manufacture a superabsorbent polymer-containing absorbent body (SAP sheet) that is kept thin and ensures a good fit when worn. [Solution] Provided is a method for manufacturing a superabsorbent polymer-containing absorbent body, the method including: a conveyance step for conveying a substrate sheet with one surface of the substrate sheet being supported by a support member; and a particle supply step for supplying superabsorbent polymer particles toward the other surface of the substrate sheet. The support member has a plurality of openings. In a plan view, the diameter of an incircle inscribed in each opening is equal to or greater than the average particle diameter of the superabsorbent polymer particles. In the particle supply step, the substrate sheet is drawn by suction through the openings from the side of the one surface of the substrate sheet.
