MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411096503 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. , Ltd. on December 06, 2024, for Method For Minimizing Media Distortion To Extend A Wireless Transmission Range Between Devices.
Inventors include Choudhary, Choice; Spall, Sandeep Singh; Pedada, Vaibhav; Porwal, Vaibhav; and Bharti, Rohit.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: Methods (1100) and systems (310) for minimizing media distortion to extend a wireless transmission range between devices (350). The method (1100) comprises determining (1102) a set of properties associated with a wireless transmission channel between the devices (350), the media being transmitted, and the devices (350). Further, the method (1100) comprises determining (1104), continually, a Transmission Quality Score (TQS) associated with the wireless transmission based on the determined set of properties using an on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine. Subsequently, the method (1100) comprises predicting (1106) distortion ranges associated with the wireless transmission based on the determined TQS values and predicting (1108) occurrence of one or more media artefacts in the predicted distortion ranges for the media being transmitted. Based on the predictions, the method (1100) further comprises modifying (1110) at least one of the one or more predicted media artefacts to extend the wireless transmission range.
