Abstract: To provide a method for packaging a positive-electrode active material that can suppress the ingress of moisture into powder serving as the positive-electrode active material during packaging, storage, and transportation. The method for packaging a positive-electrode active material includes a first step of filling the internal space of an inner container of a packaging container with gas selected from the group consisting of dry air, nitrogen gas, and inert gas, the packaging container including an outer container and the inner container each having a moisture barrier property; a second step of pouring powder serving as a positive-electrode active material for a lithium-ion secondary battery into the internal space of the inner container filled with the gas; a third step of vibrating the inner container storing the poured powder to allow the bulk density of the powder to be 0.6 g/mL or greater; a fourth step of sealing the inner container to hermetically seal the internal space of the inner container; and a fifth step of sealing the outer container housing the sealed inner container to hermetically seal the internal space of the outer container.
