Abstract: ABSTRACT "TRIBUTYRIN MICROENCAPSULATED POWDER COMPOSITION" with high oil loading, excellent taste and odor masking effect with good flow characteristics. The composition consists of a. 5-60 % of glycerol tributyrin (w/w); and b. an emulsifier of 0.1 % to 40 % and selected from a group consisting of one or more of sorbitan monostearate, sorbitan distearate and sorbitan monooleate. The composition further comprises of wall materials with one or mixture of polymer like Xanthan Gum, Guar gum, Arabic gum and acacia of 1-20 % w/w, auxiliary wall material such as microcrystalline cellulose PH 101 of 1-20 % w/w, hydrophilic cellulose such as Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose of 1-20 % w/w, diluent microcrystalline cellulose PH 101 1-30 %, and glidant such as colloidal silicon dioxide of 1-30%. The composition further comprises of Betacyclodextrin of 1-15 %, Maltodextrin of 1- 15 % w/w , Polyethylene glycol of 1-15 %, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate of 1-5%, Tween 20 of 1-10% , Tween 80 of 1-10 %, simethicone emulsion of 1-10 %, and strawberry or guava flavor or vanilla of 0.1-5% either one or mixture of and sweetener as sucralose of 1-5%.
