MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531001686 A) filed by Tata Steel Limited on January 08, 2025, for Method For Producing A Sinter-Pellet Agglomerate For Use In A Blast Furnace And System Therof.

Abstract: The present invention describes a method (200) for producing a sinter-pellet agglomerate (50) for use in a blast furnace. The method (200) includes loading, a predefined ratio of a raw mix (11) and roasted pellets (21) into a mixer drum (30). Further, the method includes rotating, the mixer drum (30) such that the raw mix (11) coalesces with the roasted pellets (21) to obtain a sinter mix of the roasted pellets (21) and the raw mix (11). Furthermore, the method includes transferring the sinter mix onto a sinter bed (40) and sintering the sinter mix loaded at a predefined temperature to obtain the sinter-pellet agglomerate (50).
