Abstract: A method for regulating speed of a mobile crane (100) is disclosed. The method includes aspects of determining by a control unit (102), an idle state and a transit state of the mobile crane (100). A first weight on an axle (110) of the mobile crane (100) in the transit state is determined by a sensor (104). A timer for a predetermined time-period is set, where the predetermined time-period corresponds to a maximum time the mobile crane (100) shall endure an impact load in the transit state, beyond which there is a chance of occurrence of imbalance of the mobile crane (100). The first weight on the axle (110) is compared with a threshold weight until a completion of a predetermined time-period and speed of the mobile crane (100) is regulated based on the comparison.
