Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING AND CHARACTERIZING CONJUGATED POLYMERS Disclosed herein a method (100) for synthesizing and characterizing conjugated polymers, the method comprises synthesizing homopolymers and copolymers via chemical oxidative polymerization in the presence of oxidants, wherein the oxidants comprise ferric chloride, potassium dichromate, and sodium dodecyl sulfate. The method further, comprises analyzing synthesized polymers via UV-Vis spectral studies to determine oscillator strength and molar extinction coefficient. Further, characterizing structural properties of the polymers using Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy to evaluate quinonoid unit formation. Further, calculating the average molar mass using intrinsic viscosity measurements and the Mark-Houwink equation. Further, determining crystallinity through X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis to observe changes upon doping and copolymerization. Further, evaluating luminescence efficiency using fluorescence spectroscopy to mea
