Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method (800) for training operators (110) of a remotely piloted aircraft (102) using a simulator system (200). The method (800) comprises establishing a simulator environment by implementing operator interfaces (104) and simulation modules replicating operational functions of a ground control station (106). The method (800) comprises receiving, within the simulator environment, user inputs associated with the operational functions from the operator interfaces (104), wherein the operator interfaces (104) comprise at least one of aircraft control inputs, payload operation inputs, checklist-driven procedural inputs, instructor scenario-control inputs, and crew communication inputs. The method (800) comprises generating, in response to the received user inputs, simulated remotely piloted aircraft operational behavior within the simulator environment, and presenting, based on the generated simulated operational behavior, simulation outputs to users for training.
