Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD OF ENHANCING NANOPARTICLE UPTAKE BY MAMMALIAN CELLS The present disclosure relates to a method of enhancing nanoparticle uptake by mammalian cells and a process for its implementation. The method is capable of modulating cell surface charge through controlled alteration of zeta potential without genetic modification, thereby improving cellular uptake of negatively charged nanoparticles. The method provides a reversible, non-toxic, and tunable approach for optimizing electrostatic interactions between cells and nanoparticles. The present disclosure also provides a simple, reproducible, and scalable method for modulating cell surface charge using chemical and enzymatic treatments.
