The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of preparation of arsenic doped quantum 5 dots for detection of steroids and estrogenic compounds. A method for the eco- friendly preparation of arsenic-doped quantum dots from plant-derived biomass, such as wheat straw, rice straw, pine needles, leaves, bark, and roots. The biomass undergoes a series of cleaning, drying, pulverization, and acid treatment steps, followed by mixing with arsenic trioxide or sodium arsenate. The suspension is 10 autoclaved to generate QDs, which are then separated, filtered, and concentrated. These arsenic-doped QDs offer a greener alternative to traditional biochemical reagents in clinical diagnostics. They enable the detection of steroids and estrogenic compounds in clinical and environmental samples, using simple, traditional instruments or portable visual systems like paper strips or mobile 15 camera-based applications, reducing reliance on hazardous chemicals and specialized instruments.
