Abstract: ABSTRACT “METHOD OF RANDOM-ACCESS PROCEDURE IN CELLULAR NETWORKS” The present invention discloses a method for random access procedure (RACH) in a wireless communication system. The method comprises, receiving, by at least one first node, at least one of at least one synchronization signal block (SSB) index, and at least one RACH configuration, wherein the at least one SSB index represents at least one SSB of an SSB burst, wherein the at least one RACH configuration indicates plurality of RACH occasions (ROs), and wherein the plurality of ROs is available for a fixed time duration from a reference point. The method further comprises, mapping, by the at least one first node, the at least one SSB index to at least one valid RO from the plurality of ROs. The method further comprises, transmitting, by the at least one first node, a RACH preamble in a valid RO from the at least one valid RO.
