MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531031146 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on March 29, 2025, for Method Of Replacement Of Sheared Ceiling Girder In Boiler.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for replacement of sheared ceiling girder of a boiler, wherein a sheared ceiling girder (G5) in a ceiling composed of a plurality of girders (G1 to G7) supported over a plurality of columns (S13, S21, S22 and S15). The sheared ceiling girder (G5) is welded orthogonally to the other girders G7 and G3 in the ceiling and connected to the column vide pin connection mounting at least two temporary girders spaced by a predetermined gap over the ceiling by vertically supporting the temporary girders (5) over the ceiling through a plurality of posts (6) and bracings (8), transferrin the load of the girders G7 to the at least two temporary girders (5) by way of connection of girder G7 (3) to both upper and lower side of the temporary girder (5); and removing the sheared ceiling girder G5 by dismantling. {FIGURE 2}
