MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611072130 A) filed by Upes, Dehradun on June 10, 2026, for Method Of Synthesis Of Nickel Cobaltite Decorated Phosphorous-Doped Laser-Induced Graphene Nanocomposite As An Electrode Material.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method comprises, synthesis of hybrid nanocomposites electrode material wherein the LIG is fabricated by employing a CO2 laser by irradiating the polyimide (PI) sheet. Simultaneously, a solution of phosphoric acid and ethanol is prepared and the prepared solution is evenly drop-cast on the synthesized LIG through drop-casting. Afterwards, the dispersed sheet is dried on a hot followed by laser irradiation on the solution-dispersed LIG. Further, a solution of NiCo2O4 in ethanol is prepared by the ultra-sonication method and evenly dispersed on the synthesized P-doped LIG followed by drying of the NiCo2O4 solution- dispersed sheet on a hot plate. The dispersed sheet again undergoes CO2 laser for the complete interaction of NiCo2O4 atoms with the P-doped LIG sheet, thereby obtaining the finalized formation of NCO/PLIG nanocomposite.
