Abstract: ABSTRACT “METHOD TO ENHANCE MEASUREMENT AND REPORTING IN CELLULAR SYSTEM” The present disclosure relates to a method for timer-based measurement and reporting in the cellular system. The disclosed method provides an improved mechanism for identifying the best UE or a best set of UEs with very minimal/efficient resource utilization. According to an embodiment, the method includes an UE receiving measurement and reporting configurations from a BS, which include scheduling information for reference signals and resources. The first node computes parameters based on the second reference signals and schedules a report transmission if the time is within the specified timer interval. Further, the present disclosure discloses signaling exchanges required between BS and UE for implementing the disclosed enhancements.
