The apparatus includes a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising: at least one memory; and at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the UE to: receive a Radio Resource Control (RRC) configuration of two separate closed loop power control adjustment states for Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmissions; receive Downlink Control Information (DCI) indicating Transmit Power Control (TPC) command for an SRS transmission configured with one of the separate closed loop power control adjustment states; and determine transmission power for the SRS transmission based on its separate closed loop power control adjustment state.
