A first communication device may: generate a first parameter for identifying a first bit position in a first plurality of data bits based on which a scrambling operation is to be performed; transmit, to a second communication device, first signaling indicating the first parameter; receive, from the second communication device, second signaling indicating the first parameter or acknowledging a reception of the first parameter; generate a first scrambling sequence using a sequence generator; scramble the first plurality of data bits using the first scrambling sequence according to the first bit position; and transmit, to the second communication device, the scrambled first plurality of data bits.
