The control unit is configured to: dynamically generate one or more memory addresses for read and write operations across the temporary storage unit, the permanent storage unit, and the supplementary storage unit, synchronize transfer of image data related to the sequence of images between one or more of the temporary storage unit, the permanent storage unit, and the supplementary storage unit operating at different clock domains, allocate priority for data access of the transferred image data, and route the image data among the temporary storage unit, the permanent storage unit, and the supplementary storage unit.
