Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for providing spatial mapping services. A spatial mapping server may create, based on a first request from one or more of a first VAL server or a first VAL client, a spatial map of an area of interest and comprising one or more requested layers of spatial map information. The spatial mapping server may receive, from one or more of a second VAL server or a second VAL client, a second request for a spatial map matching spatial map discovery criteria. The spatial mapping server may send, to the one or more second VAL server or second VAL client and in response to a permission to discover the spatial map, a response to the one or more second VAL server or second VAL client comprising an indication of the spatial map.
