MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087019 A) filed by Sharad Dahiya on July 16, 2026, for Micro-Plate Settler System For Separating Suspended Solids And Buoyant Contaminants From A Liquid Stream.
Inventor includes Sharad Dahiya.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a micro-plate settler system for separation of suspended solid and buoyant contaminants from a liquid stream, and a method for the same. The proposed system enables auto-amalgamation of light and heavy suspended particles, without use of any chemical, by employing dual media rack, wherein a inclined media plate rack with cross flow passage design enables efficient solid liquid separation, separated solid being suspended at bottom, in a hopper, and wherein a longitudinal fin media rack stops fine particle in partially filtered water, from going toward clarified accept, amalgamating them to a larger floc and suspending back into media plate passage. The sludge collected in the hopper is removed by an auto sludge removal system. The system utilizes fluid dynamics to achieve liquid clarification, with high efficiency at low operating cost.
