Abstract: ABSTRACT Title: MICROSTRIP LINE BASED COMPACT WIDEBAND RF BIAS TEE IN PCB TECHNOLOGY. The present invention provides a microstrip line-based RF (radio frequency) three-port bias tee device comprising a microstrip RF transmission line on a substrate having an RF input port and an RF output port and a DC supply port connected to said RF transmission line through a high-impedance bias network over said substrate. The high-impedance bias network includes a narrow meandered microstrip line section with cooperatively connected plurality of radial or butterfly-shaped pair of stubs that collectively forming an RF choke path exhibiting high impedance to RF signals for isolation between RF and DC ports, while permitting DC biasing of an active device with elimination of loading effects on the active device due to the DC port.
