Abstract: The present invention relates to a mineral-probiotic feed supplement composition for ruminant animals, particularly cattle and buffaloes, comprising minerals, vitamins, amino acids, probiotics, herbal additive, and red seaweed (Asparagopsis taxiformis or functional equivalents). The composition is formulated to deliver approximately 2 grams of red seaweed per 1000 grams of product, along with comprehensive nutritional supplementation including calcium, phosphorus, trace minerals, vitamins A, D3, and E, essential amino acids, and probiotics. When administered daily at a recommended dosage of approximately 50 grams per adult animal, the composition results in reduction of enteric methane emissions by at least 30%, equivalent to approximately 0.8-1.0 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per animal per year, while simultaneously supporting animal health, milk production, and digestive efficiency. The composition enables integration of methane mitigation with routine mineral supplementation in a single, farmer-friendly formulation compatible with traditional Indian dairy farming practices.
