The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A mis-shift prevention system (18) for a manual gearbox includes a gearbox housing (2), input and output shafts (1, 19), a lay shaft (14) with lay shaft gears (13), and a main shaft (11) carrying first, second, third, fourth, and reverse gears (9, 8, 7, 6, 10). Selector rails (17, 16, 23) move longitudinally between neutral and gear engagement positions. A solenoid actuator (12), mounted on the gearbox housing (2), has a plunger (20) configured to engage an aperture (21) or slot (22) in the selector rails. A speed sensor (25) detects vehicle speed, and a control unit (26) energizes the solenoid actuator (12) when the speed exceeds a predefined threshold. The plunger (20) then restricts selector rail movement, preventing engagement of lower gears while permitting engagement of higher gears. Reference Figure: FIG. 1
