Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mist generating device (100), comprising: a rotating element (102) adapted to receive a liquid thereon; and a breaker element (108) comprising a plurality of equally spaced teeth (110), wherein the breaker element (108) is located such that the plurality of teeth (110) at least partially envelope a periphery (112) of the rotating element (102). The liquid is expelled from the periphery (112) and into the plurality of teeth (110), thus being atomised to a fine mist. The mist generating device (100) is implemented in an air-cooling apparatus (200) such that the fine mist generated is along an airflow path (206) of the air-cooling apparatus (200).
