MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647076918 A) filed by Forglass Engineering Spolka Z on June 22, 2026, for Mixing Electrode And Method For Production Thereof.

Inventors include Knast, Piotr; Klisch, Marian; Dylag, Andrzej Number; Jedrzejczyk, Leszek; and Zomerski, Krzysztof.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mixing electrode and a method for production thereof. The mixing electrode according to the invention is intended for use in glass melting processes, serving to heat the glass batch and introduce gas under pressure into the batch at the same time to ensure optimal mixing of the molten glass batch in the furnace. The electrode according to the invention comprises a body (1) made of an electrically conductive material with an at least one through hole (8) extending along the longitudinal axis of the mixing electrode and an at least one fluid-transporting channel (7) to force movement of the molten glass by a stream of gas bubbles. In the at least one through hole (8), an at least one filling element (2) partially reducing the cross-section area of the through hole (8) is arranged, wherein the at least one fluid -transporting channel (7) is formed between the body (1) and the filling element (2) and/or between the at least two filling elements (2).
