Abstract: The development of a smart sensing system aimed at preventing pressure injuries (bedsores) in bedridden patients by providing continuous real-time monitoring and risk assessment. The system integrates pressure, temperature, moisture, and position sensors to track skin condition and pressure distribution. Sensor data is processed using an embedded system to detect abnormal conditions that may lead to pressure injuries. A machine learning model implemented on Raspberry Pi analyses the collected data to accurately predict ulcer risk levels based on patterns and trends. Upon detecting potential risk, the system delivers immediate alerts to caregivers, enabling timely preventive action. This approach enhances patient safety, reduces manual monitoring, and improves the overall efficiency and reliability of healthcare management.
