MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641079381 A) filed by Francis Xavier Engineering College on June 27, 2026, for Mobile Controlled Pwm Based Speed Control Of A Dc Motor.
Inventors include Dr. R. Aandal; Mr. S. A. Arunish; Mr. B. Abubecker Sidique; Mr. A. Noor Mohamed Sameer; and Mr. M. Tharun Raj.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile controlled pulse width modulation (PWM) based speed control system for a direct current (DC) motor. The system comprises a mobile communication device, a wireless communication interface, a control processing unit, a pulse width modulation generation module, a motor driver circuit, a speed feedback module, a protection and diagnostic subsystem, a memory module, a user configuration interface, and a power management unit. A mobile application transmits control commands to the control processing unit through a wireless communication protocol, and the control processing unit generates variable duty-cycle PWM signals to regulate the rotational speed of the DC motor. The speed feedback module continuously monitors motor operation and enables closed-loop speed regulation. The protection and diagnostic subsystem monitors operating parameters including current, temperature, and voltage to ensure reliable operation. The invention provides precise, energy-efficient, and remotely accessible speed control of DC motors and is suitable for industrial, agricultural, domestic, robotic, and automation applications.
