MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621065478 A) filed by Velvix Brands LLP on May 24, 2026, for Modular Footwear System With A Remote Actuated Dynamic Clamping Assembly.
Inventors include Siddharth Patel; and Tanisha Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a modular footwear system (100) featuring a remote-actuated dynamic clamping assembly for securing an interchangeable upper (200) to a base sole (101). The system comprises at least one internal cavity (102) housing a fixed guide channel (103) and a horizontally movable locking slider (104). The locking slider (104) is characterized by a J-shaped clamping profile. An upper (200) includes an anchoring tab (201) featuring a plurality of teeth-like protrusions for structural integration with the upper material. An actuation interface (105) is provided at heel region of the sole & is mechanically linked to the locking slider (104). Horizontal displacement of the actuation interface (105) translates the locking slider (104) to a locked position, where the J-shaped profile forcefully wedges the anchoring tab (201) against an internal wall of the guide channel (103). The system utilizes active mechanical wedging to resist vertical withdrawal & is substantially concealed within the sole structure
