MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631091340 A) filed by Engeotech Aqua Engineers Pvt. Ltd. on July 28, 2026, for Modular Prefabricated Sewage Treatment System Based On Standardized Hydraulic Integration And Scalable Fbec/Gfs Tank Modules.

Inventor includes Mr. Sukant Kumar Meher.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a modular sewage treatment plant comprising a bar screen chamber, an oil and grease trap (101), an equalization tank (102) consist of an aeration or mixing system, a flash mixing and chemical dosing system (103), at least one Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) (104), a tube settler clarification unit (105), a filter feed tank (106), a pressure sand filtration unit (111), an activated carbon filtration unit (107), a disinfection unit (108), a treated water storage tank (109) and a sludge handling system (110) including a sludge holding tank and a sludge dewatering unit selected from a centrifuge, filter press and screw press. The treatment units are housed within prefabricated FBEC and/or GFS modular tanks interconnected in a sequential wastewater treatment arrangement. The modular arrangement enables rapid installation, reduced civil construction, scalability, relocation capability and high wastewater treatment efficiency. The system may further incorporate automation, remote monitoring and renewable energy systems to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
