Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: MODULAR SHARED-APERTURE PHASED ARRAY SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED BEAM-CONTROL ELECTRONICS AND SCALABLE POLARIZATION RECONFIGURATION A modular shared-aperture phased array antenna system (100) is disclosed comprising a multi-band radiating aperture module (110) with co-located primary-band and secondary-band dual-polarized radiating elements separated by a polarization-selective inter-band filtering layer (116) with slotted ring resonators, a beam-control electronics unit (120) with a polarization synthesis engine (126) that computes per-element complex excitation coefficients in real time through constrained gain maximization to synthesize switchable linear, right-hand circular, or left-hand circular polarization with high purity over a wide scan volume, a modular tile assembly (130) integrating radiating elements and electronics as a field-replaceable unit fabricated using multi-layer PCB techniques with embedded thermal management, and an aperture scaling controller (140) with an inter-tile synchronization bus (144) enabling automatic discovery, registration, and calibration of tiles for seamless aperture expansion.
