MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431012714 A) filed by Schneider Electric Industries Sas on February 22, 2024, for Motor Assembly To Remotely Operate A Circuit Breaker.

Inventors include Praveen Babasaheb Udageri; and Justin Raj.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a motor assembly (1) to remotely operate a circuit breaker. The motor assembly (1) includes a slider (2) that drives the circuit breaker into an on and off positions, a CAM (3) connected to the slider (2), and a center shaft (4) connected to the CAM (3), where the CAM (3) converts a rotary motion to a linear motion to drive the handle of the circuit breaker. Further, the motor assembly (1) include a center gear (5) mounted on the center shaft (4) and a rotary handle assembly (6) coupled to the center shaft (4) through a lock-pin (7). When the rotary handle assembly (6) is rotated to the on or off position, the CAM (3) oscillates and drives the slider (2) in a liner direction to move the handle of the circuit breaker between the ON and OFF position in an auto or manual mode.
