Abstract: A multi functional eight wheeled rover with double bogie mechanism and hybrid steering system comprising a mobile base structure (10) having a base platform (101) and an upper lid (102), a locomotion assembly (20) including eight wheels (201) independently driven through planetary gear DC motors (212), and a double bogie suspension mechanism (30) configured to maintain wheel ground engagement over uneven terrain. The rover further comprises a hybrid steering system (40) configured to provide Ackermann steering, skid steering, and crab walk motion through stepper motors (401) and stepper motor drivers (402). A robotic manipulator assembly (50) including articulated arm links (503, 505), joints (504, 506, 508), and gripper (509) is mounted on the upper lid (102). The rover additionally includes a vision and sensing module (70), an electronic control system (80), and a power supply system (90) enabling autonomous and remote-controlled operation with enhanced stability and maneuverability.
