Abstract: Abstract An AI-based emotion and distress detection system is disclosed for multi-modal mental health emotion and distress detection. The system receives facial images, speech audio, acoustic features, text messages and historical interaction states from a user, a camera, a microphone, a chat interface and a conversational support engine through an input interface. A conditioning portion prepares the received input by filtering, normalizing, parsing, segmenting or otherwise converting the input into a structured representation suited to the particular processing task. A decision portion then extracts emotion labels from face, voice and text inputs, combines confidence scores, classifies the user's emotional state and selects a response category associated with the detected state. The system generates emotion labels, distress indicators, support prompts, relaxation suggestions and progress records through an output interface and stores a corresponding processing record. The arrangement links acquisition, conditioning, decision processing and output generation in one operative chain, because facial, acoustic and textual confidence values are fused before a response is selected.
