Abstract: Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based driver monitoring system. A multi-modal in-vehicle cognitive drift detection system includes a visual camera module configured to capture real-time facial data of a driver. An infrared sensing unit is integrated with the camera module to enable operation under low-light conditions. A biometric sensing module is operatively connected to an edge processing unit configured with artificial intelligence models. The processing unit computes fatigue levels and cognitive drift scores based on visual and physiological inputs. A voice interaction interface and emergency response module are connected to the system to initiate safety alerts and intervention within the vehicle. The system enables real-time detection of unsafe driver states and provides adaptive safety responses to prevent road accidents.
