Abstract: A multi-modal mobility assistive system, comprising a pair of vertical first members 101 connected by horizontal telescopic rods 102, a hinged angular second member 121 with first members 101 to form a four-legged support for a user, a motorized wheel 104 to provide mobility, a tactile input means 109 to allow the user for selection between a normal mode and a danger mode, a collapsible telescopic first frame 107 attached with a collapsible panel 108 to facilitate the user to stand on the panel 108 for locomotion in a danger mode, a braille unit 110 includes a plurality of pneumatic pins 111, to provide alerts and information to the user in a braille format, a microphone 112 to capture ambient sounds, an extendable rubber tip 106 to provide friction in normal mode, and a currency identifier includes a camera 116 to identify currencies transacted by the user.
